THE TRUTH ABOUT HAIR EXTENSIONS

wHAT IS 7a, 8a, 9A? the “hAIR GRADES” REVEALED

This grading system was derived in China to determine the amount of virgin human hair is in each bundle. The rest of the hair in the bundles could be fillers such as very short stands, waste hair, synthetic hair or even animal hair. Fillers are used to bulk up the weight of the bundles to make it seem like your’e getting a lot for little money, resulting in bundles with thick roots and whipsy ends. This hair is then coated with silicons to make hair appear shiny and healthy.  After washing a few times the silicone washes away and you end up with useless hair and wasted money.

You may also notice that most Chinese hair companies also offer "1B" hair color. This hair isn’t it’s natural color but has been dyed to mask grays and to blend hair from many different donors and animal sources. These companies can lure you in with cheap prices by providing fake, processed hair that won’t hold up after the first or second wash.

You may feel like you are getting a great deal on "virgin hair" by purchasing $50 Brazilian bundles but you are left feeling hopeless after the 1st or even the 5th time you wash the hair.

WHAT MAKES HOUSE OF TEXTURES DIFFERENT?

First and most importantly, we do not resell low-quality hair from China and we don’t provide 6A, 7A or 8A hair. Here at House of Textures, we provide just one grade of quality, the best.

When you receive your hair, you will notice that our hair is in it’s natural brown, unaltered color which makes the hair easy to color, and lighten. The hair cuticles in our extensions run in the same direction, just like the hair cut directly from the donor, minimizing tangling. Our extensions are then made from the raw hair that has been steamed to create the most natural looking textures, not by using harsh chemicals that damage the hair and can cause you irritation.

This is 100% natural hair that does not have a “Can last up to 1 year” lifespan but will last as long as you take care of it. Click here for hair care instructions. The only downside to having quality hair is that it’s more rare than the always available “Brazilian” hair, which makes this hair more expensive, but once you experience high quality hair, you’ll never go back.
